Memberships
- SABDTC provides general dog training classes. Almost all dogs, especially when young, benefit by learning civilised behaviour and life skills to help them live in a human family. Our annual membership fee includes all Sunday classes at no additional cost. There are no weekly class fees. Memberships are valid from the date of enrollment until the end of the financial year on June 30th.

- 4-week Beginners Course (mandatory for new members)
- Ongoing progression through Levels 1–4 and Advanced
Each class runs for 45 minutes and are held at our club grounds in Concord.Dogs with complex issues may be referred for individual tuition by the Chief Instructor.
Requirements
- Dogs must be at least 16 weeks (4 months) old with current C3 vaccination
- Handlers must be at least 16 years old
- Flat collar required and standard lead (no retractables, choke chains, or back-clip harnesses)
Online Registration
Select the session you would like to join and complete the online registration form and payment. Future intake registrations opens one month in advance. SABDTC classes are held on Sunday mornings, with classes at 9 am and 10 am (8 am & 9 am in February & March only). Registration is mandatory when accessing the training grounds. We look forward to welcoming you and your dog to our club.
March Intake is full. Bookings for April Beginners intake open Monday 2nd March, at 7am.
Places are limited and fill very quickly.

Timing and Registration
- Intakes open at 7am on the first Monday of each month, one month in advance; places fill quickly
- Intakes run Feb–Nov, starting first Sunday of the month
- No waiting list available
- Memberships valid until June 30 (Feb–Mar are half-price; Apr–Jun run through to the following June)
Training Times
- 9 am: Level 1a, 1b, 4 & 5
- 10 am: New Beginners, 2 & 3
- Feb–Mar: one hour earlier at 8am and 9am, due to summer heat
- Classes are 45 minutes in duration.
Membership Renewals
Renew by July 1st each year. Members will receive renewal instructions via email.
Family (2 people training 1 dog): $135
Single (1 person training 1 dog): $115
Additional Dog: half the renewal fee
Seniors and Rescues
Senior Discount: $20 (with valid Seniors Card, use code 'SENIOR' at checkout)Rescue Dog Discount: $20 (with proof of shelter adoption, use code 'RESCUE' at checkout)
Senior and Rescue discounts can be combined for $40 off.
Equipment & Clothing
- Wear enclosed shoes; long pants and a hat recommended
- Bring (lots of your dog’s favourite) treats and treat bag (positive reinforcement methods used)
- Flat/buckle collar with 4–6 ft leash (cotton/leather preferred)
- No choke chains, chain leads, or head halters
- Treats and treat bags available for sale at the clubhouse
